I'm sorry I've been missing for a few days! I've been so sick, and am just starting to feel better (I only spent half of the day in bed today! Woot!).
My WOYWW is a little early this week, but I figured since I hadn't posted yet, you'd all forgive me that it wasn't technically Wednesday here when I posted it. I had seen a post on Pintrest about how to make lacey looking paper rosettes, so I'm currently playing with some paper scraps and my punches to see some different effects.
One of my nieces had a baby shower this past Friday. The shower was held early on in her pregnancy due to the fact that she lives quite a distance from her family (which are mostly located in this area). So, it wasn't known whether the baby is a boy or girl. I made this card for her, and then wasn't able to attend because I was so sick...so I guess I'm going to hold onto it and send it with the blanket I will be making after I find out what the baby is!
Materials Used:
- Cream Card stock
- Patterned papers (I think by The Paper Studio - but logo had been cut off)
- digi from MelonHeadz Illustrating (precolored although I changed the hearts in the wheels and the balloon to green)
- Celebrate It Sheer Expressions Ribbon
- Sewing machine - white thread
- Random Adhesives
Adorable card-I love the stitching! Dani32

Lucky you living in the mountains, East or West, if you don't mind me asking! Punching the rosettes will definitely give them a whole new look too. Love the little card, sorry you couldn't attend the shower, really hope you're feeling better soon. Illinois makes the Top 10 list of most tornadic active states, thankfully Michigan doesn't!!

ReplyDeleteGlad you aren't quite so sick this week. At first I was having a terrible time leaving comments on blogs last night. They didn't want to post. NOW I get "service unavailable when I try to leave a comment. It's really frustrating. I see others having trouble with MY link, too.
ReplyDeleteThat is an adorable baby card. Happy WOYWW from # 7.

Love your paper piercing, really pretty! Great card, too. Many thanks for visiting my blog - yes, cardboard boxes full of cardboard boxes is my thing too! I haven't done any more clearing today because we've been out, but I'm knackered now so won't think of doing any more today. I didn't feel all that creative doing it yesterday, but did feel quite satisfied afterwards!

Thanks for the lovely comment on my Mums birthday card, she loved it! The card blanc was from a company called Hunkydory. Pre-folded, but they are easy to do yourself if you wanted to. Love using paper rosettes in my work, although I do use a die to cut mine out. So late visiting desks due to a very busy week! Hope you feeling better!
