I loooooooooooooove Christmas! I love the decorations, I love picking out the perfect presents, I love all of the baking (but shhhhh on that one! I need to contain that to ONCE a year!) and I LOVE the festive spirit that is so contagious that time of year. But even loving it was not enough to get me motivated in January and February to begin this year's cards. I finally forced myself to sit down Sunday during a quiet moment and make a quick and easy Christmas card. You know, doing it fast before my brain kicked in to much - kind of like ripping off a bandage. I was hoping one the first one was out of the way, the rest would be easier! ;)
I used the My Mind's Eye "Vintage Christmas" paper pack. The sentiment was part of the paper. I inked all of the edges of the papers with Walnut Stain, and used my white gel pen to add some faux stitching. And I couldn't leave well enough alone, so I had to pop some self adhesive pearls on one of the banner pieces, and add a bit of Wink of Stella pen to the sentiment.
So, the first card is done, and stashed away. Hopefully, getting going on the rest will be a little easier. I figured I need to average two a month to get my "MUST get a card" list finished, three per month to get my "SHOULD get a card" list done, and one a week to get my whole list covered. Now to see if I can keep up with that schedule!
Congratulations on completing your first Christmas card for the year Sara. Love the CAS style of this card. Thanks for joining in the challenge at CHNC Extra for March.
