Just Sprouted

I'm back with another DT card for 613 Avenue Create!  This week the optional twist on our ANYTHING GOES challenge is: the SIGHTS/SOUNDS/SMELLS/TASTES OF SPRING.The amazing sponsor who provided the adorable image I'm working with today is The Paper Shelter.  I've long admired the images in this shop - they're all so stinking cute!  

When I think of spring, I think of flowers, and birds, and butterflies, and......babies!  I think it comes from being a spring baby myself, but I always find myself drawn to making baby cards this time of year.  Today I've used the little (pre-colored!) sweetheart in the Enchanted Dream stamp as my starting point.  


The papers are from my ever-favorite paper pack "In Bloom" from My Mind's Eye.  I've layered them up, with a few warm pink shades of card stock, on top of a 6x6 white card base.  I used the same pink card stock shades to cut some flowers with an EK Success punch, and the smaller butterflies with a the Paper Studio punch.   I added pearls from various sources in multiple spots on the card front.


There is a small wooden flower beneath the Iamroses rose as well as a paper doily and some twine for texture.  .

For those in the know, Yes!  The butterflies are sparkly!
The inside has a coordinating paper panel, with butterflies, and a sentiment from the same stamp set as the sentiment on the card front.  There's plenty of room to write a personal note.

    What a beautiful design Sara! The composition is well balanced and so interesting with all the layers of texture! Love the pearls, the papers you chose and the twine - well done indeed!
