Lately, I've been feeling a lot of love for a bit more of a "rustic" look. More kraft, more burlap - but yet, a touch of bling in with it. I think this card fits this quite well.
I started this card with the Simple Stories "Handmade Holiday" paper pack. This pack has several papers that have different patterns and what would be considered a journal card, or sentiment. I cut a couple of those pieces out, along with fussy cutting out a sentiment piece to layer.
As I was laying pieces out, I decided I needed some ribbon, and that burlap would look great with my chosen papers/patterns. As I was pulling that out, I found this canvas fringe ribbon in my stash and decided to layer it with the burlap.
I cut apart some pieces of a Prima grapevine as well as some pinecone floral pieces to tuck under the knot of the canvas ribbon. A little more bling was needed in the corner, so I painted on some clear glitter with my WoS pen.
The inside was done up with another sentiment strip from the paper, and a banner cut from a scrap. Then I used a black pen to create a stitched border to make the greeting spot match the sentiment from the front of the card.
I hope you liked this "rustic" holiday card!
