Hope-full Treat

It's time for another challenge over at 613 Avenue Create!  
This week the optional twist to our Anything Goes Challenge is "Candy Treats".


The image I'm using today was provided by Digistamps4joy who is one of our amazing sponsors this week.  



Some time ago, I read a blog post - written by a cancer survivor - that included a list of things small gifts/gift basket ideas that you could give a person undergoing chemo that were actually HELPFUL.  One of the items on that list was hard candies.  So, when I saw this image (during Breast Cancer Awareness Month) and the twist to this week's challenge, I knew exactly what I was making.  Sadly, it seems I always have a need for these, so I will be making more - in all sorts of colors because cancer comes in far to many forms, not just "pink".


I used a clear plastic pillow box as my candy treat container.  It is decorated with a "Dots and Stripes" paper from Echo Park, along with a small doily, and a bit of sheer pink ribbon from my stash.  My image was colored in pencils.
