It's that time again! Time for another challenge over at 613 Avenue Create. This week the optional twist on our Anything Goes challenge is "Holiday Thanks". So we're creating thank you or hostess gifts! The sponsor I'm working with today is:
I chose to work with the image "Brace of Pheasants". Now, I'm going to be honest here. The project I have to share was not my original plan. I originally was trying out a technique that wound up on the list of Pinterest fails in a VERY big way. I had to modify that plan, but I do like the end result even if it wasn't what I originally pictured.
I began with a 5x6 burlap bag, I sewed a piece of lace elastic to the front of the bag (the elastic allows a bit more stretch and movement to the bag than a standard piece of lace). I printed my stamp onto a parchment paper and cut it into a tag shape. Then, using a Studio G stamp (stamp has 6 thank yous on it, I masked it and only used 3), I stamped in Versamark and used gold embossing powder to create my sentiment. Then I inked the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink.
I backed the tag with another tag cut from some Bella Blvd Hello Autumn paper. I added a couple of leaves that I had glittered up with some Stickles, and a bit of ribbon from my stash.
I made the bottom tags by layering a piece cut from the paper over two banners - one cut from the paper and one cut from some brown cardstock. Several of the leaves on the tree were touched with my clear WoS pen, just to add a bit of sparkle.
