I love ladybugs. Ever since I was a kid, I hated bugs, but loved lady bugs. Anytime I find one in my house, I take it outside; if they fly on me, I'm totally okay with it. And I'll go hunt them down in my yard to photograph. It's a weird distinction, but this particular red and black dotted bug is alright in my world. So, you can imagine, when I got my package for Designers Showcase, I was thrilled to find the Bug Love stamps and dies in the box.
This super fun Stamp and Die set are Journey Reward Exclusives. And this set is so much fun! For the card today, I chose to turn these little bugs into acrobats.
I stamped and die cut the bugs, then colored them in with slightly varying shades. I wanted them to each have a little distinction. I covered their colorful shells and eyes with Journey Glaze, and allowed that to dry. Then I trimmed an inch off of the edge of my card front, and adhered the bugs along the edge, stacked up in a ladybug pile. Once they were attached, I stamped my sentiment and the little hearts in place on the card front. A strip of printed paper, adhered to the inside of the card, finished it off.
Thanks for stopping by!
Much love,
