Simple One Layer Card

Have you used masking on your cards before?  It's a fun technique to allow you to layer your stamps.  You stamp the image in the foreground first, and then mask it off (I used a Post It note), and stamp your background images.  It allows you to create flat one layer cards, with multiple beautiful colors.

I started this card with my die cut pierced border.  Then I stamped in my roses.  Masking is super easy, but if your trimming is a little wonky, and you have some white gaps between your flowers, you can always use the ColorBurst pencils to fill in the gap - one of the great parts about the pencils, is the index in the top of the lid, that tells you EXACTLY which pencils to use to match your ink colors.  

If you enlarge the image above, you can see how this stamp has a fun halftone pattern of dots, that is what creates the lighter and darker areas.  I love this feature, as it makes stamping so quick!
