Today's card is bright and cheery, and was the perfect foil to the gloomy day that it was created on. I'm not typically a fan of yellows and oranges, but they really pop on this card, and draw out the warmth of the gold embossing.
I started by cutting my card base and mats. I lined them up, and positioned my die and stamp where I wanted them. Using a bit of painters tape, I was able to secure the die in place to cut out the top layer of the card. Then I lined my layers back up, and stamped my sentiment in Clear Embossing Ink in the die cut area. I heat embossed the sentiment in gold, then moved on to stamping my flowers on the top layer.
I used Post-It note masks to keep the stamped images from overlapping as I stamped. Once my flowers were in place, I sprinkled some Gold Silk on the top panel. Then I layered my panels together with Foam Squares, and adhered everything to my card base.
This bright and cheery card should bring a smile to the recipients face!
Thanks for stopping by!
