Recently, a family member just achieved a huge (musical) goal he'd had since he was a kid, and of course I needed to send a card to congratulate him on making that dream come true! Masculine cards aren't always easy, but this one came together so fast!
How I created this card:
- I started by stamping the Vintage Notes background onto Whip Cream Card Stock with River Stone ink. I die cut the stamped panel with the largest Journey Circle die, before I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment. Then I inked the edges of the die cut.
- I ran my card front (4"x 5.25") panel of Denim Days Card Stock through my Platinum machine with the Diamond Netting Embossing Folder. Once that was embossed, I rubbed the Brush Silver PanPastel lightly over the raised portion of the image to add some light metallic sheen.
- I added foam squares to the die cut circle, and set it on the embossed card front - slightly off the edge. I trimmed the portion that over hung from the card front, and inked the trimmed edge to match the rest of the die cut. Then, I mounted the card front onto a white card base.
- A sprinkling of sequins finished off the card.
Thanks for stopping by!
Much love,
