Letterboard Courage

Today's post is going to be a long one - and I promise there is some ACTUAL creative inspiration in here too - so I'm diving right in!

• PG 16 | Good Life Collection:  I love EVERYTHING about this new collection.  The stamps have a sweet, country, theme, and the papers are gorgeous. 
• PG 19 | Bloom Wall, and Barn Wall Embossing Folders: MUST HAVES in my book.  They are stunning and will be amazing backdrops for a variety of card styles
• PG 44 | Spread Love Bundle: Check out that gorgeous font.  I love pretty sentiment sets, and this one definitely will be in my cart!
• PG 205 | Journey Scallops Die Set: We've been asking, and now we have some fun scallops to add to our circle die cuts!
• PG 257 | Copper & Rose Gold PanPastels: I happy danced as soon as I saw these!  (Please note, in the PRINTED copies of the catalog, the labels are reversed on the samples.  The Rose Gold is the lighter toned sample.  This has been corrected in the online catalog.) Example
• PG 269 | Copper & Rose Gold Embossing Powder: I *may* have squealed a little when I saw these.  They are gorgeous. Example
• PG 268 | Good Life Color Family: This new color family features gorgeous slightly muted shades.  The Tin Pail is my immediate fave, although a few other colors already have wheels spinning in my head.  In addition to the inky products show in the chart, there are some new ribbons and twine in several of the shades (See pages 278-279)

Finally, we get to a card!  There's been so much going on, and so many announcements, that I'm going to make it up to you this week.  To celebrate the launch of the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog, I'm going to share a card EVERY DAY this week.  It's a launch party happening right here on my blog.  Each of these cards was created for my Designers Showcase Display board that was shown at the recent FSJ convention.  

I started out the card today, with the brand new Letterboard Sentiments stamp set.  I heat embossed one of the sentiments onto Cool Pool card stock, in gold embossing powder.  Then I took my piece to the trimmer and used the scoring blade to score lines into the card stock, to give it that letter board look.  I backed that panel up with a piece of Black Licorice card stock, then used foam squares to lift that off my Whip Cream card base.  A few flowers and pearls were added as accents.  

The card was super easy and cute!  Whew - my fingers are tired from all this typing.  Scroll back up and flip through the catalog again, and then leave me a comment letting me know what YOUR must haves are from the new catalog!  Are you drooling over that rose gold and copper yet?
