And onto today's card inspiration:
When I was playing with the new Letterboard Sentiments stamp set, I knew there was a possibility of some fun graphic cards made with the words. I'm reaching the point of the year where I ALWAYS need a ton of birthday cards, so it seemed that starting with that theme would be a great jumping off point!
I began this card, by stamping the Celebrate stamp onto a piece of Whip Cream Card Stock in varying colors. I kept a baby wipe next to me to wipe the stamp clean in between each shade, and stamped my way across, and down, the panel. Then I stamped a piece of Beach Ball Card stock with the Make A Wish sentiment and heat embossed it in white. I took a scrap of Citrus Cooler and cut a flame shape, then added a bit of Gold silk to the center. A panel of embossed Electric Lime, a strip of Black Licorice, a vellum circle, and a Watermelon Fusion mat completed the card front. While assembling, I sprinkled just a little Sparkle Silk on the background, before adhering the vellum circle and candle.
This fun and very bright and cheerful card will make a great addition to my birthday card stash. It actually went fairly quickly. I think it would be easy to make assembly line style.
What color combo would you use on a birthday card like this?
Thanks for stopping by!
Much love,
