Thanksgiving Colors

The best laid plans...

I had planned on getting a video filmed last Thursday, to share with you Friday.  However, on Halloween night, I cleaned off all my makeup and climbed into bed with all these intentions for the next day.  Just as I was drifting off to sleep, a cough pulled itself up from the bottom of my lungs, and I knew - KNEW - I was sick.  Thursday and Friday wound up spent making tea, and cuddling with the animals, in between frequent naps and coughing.  I'm writing this on Sunday night, and am starting to feel somewhat normal, though still a little sniffley.

That fun card I planned on filming will be coming, but for today, I wanted to share this pretty Thanksgiving card with it's autumn colors.  I absolutely adore the script font used on this Gather Together ATS stamp.  I knew it would be gorgeous embossed in Copper Embossing Powder, so I gathered some fun fall colors of card stock to create this card.

I first, dry embossed a piece of Whip Cream Card Stock, with the Changing Seasons Embossing Folder.  Then I cut a strip of Cocoa Powder Card stock, and stamped and heat embossed it with the "Happy Thanksgiving" sentiment.  I cut two strips of colorful card stock (Haystack was cut to 3/8", and Tangerine Fusion was cut to 1/2"), and cut the ends at an angle to create the little banners.

I adhered my card stock pieces together with a bit of tape runner, and then folded a piece of Green Olive card stock to create a side folding A2 sized card.  I attached my card front to that card base, and then added a few pearls for some dimension and shine.

This card was super simple and would be easy to assembly line.  Perhaps it's time to start sending Thanksgiving cards, rather than Christmas?  Or maybe both...at least to a few on the list.

Thanks for stopping by!

Much love,
