Hello.
Today I have a very special post for you - I have joined up with a group of friends - who are each incredibly talented crafters - for a monthly hop. We have all walked a similar path, for a portion of our crafty journeys, and are thrilled to now get together to showcase fun projects, and give you an opportunity to explore some new creators that you may not already know!
Each month, we will be focusing on a specific brand or company. This month we are featuring Concord & 9th! And the always exceptionally kind owners of C9 generously have offered our hoppers a coupon code (Thanks Angie and Greg!). Today, through Thursday, August 22nd, use the code CRAFTYFRIENDS20 at checkout for 20% off your order from the Concord & 9th Shop. This is their birthday month, and they have TWO bonuses available when you shop with them!
I used the Autumn Harvest Stamp & Die Bundle, as well as the Friendship Farms Stamp & Die Bundle in the cards today. Today, I have a step by step video for you, showing how this first card was created. All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of this post.
I began by die cutting my sentiment panel and double stamping the "Hey There" sentiment in Whip Cream Ink. I set that aside, and stamped my background of pumpkins, along with stamping an additional pumpkin and two of the leaves, which were then die cut. Using a light touch, I colored in my die cut images with PanPastels.
PanPastel Colors Used:
220.1 Hansa Yellow Ex Dark (Olive Green)
340.1 Permanent Red Ex Dark (Maroon)
740.3 Burnt Sienna Shade (Brown)
740.5 Burnt Sienna (Orange Brown)
250.5 Diarylide Yellow (Golden Yellow)
I finished the sentiment stamping, by heat embossing the "Pumpkin" in Copper embossing powder. Then I layered up my sentiment panel and images, and finished the card off with some white Nuvo drops.
I have a second card, that I created using the same supplies. I stamped the acorn stamp, from the Autumn Harvest Stamp & Die Bundle, onto a panel of Whip Cream card stock, and also stamped a pumpkin from that same set onto some scrap. Then I stamped the leaf stamp from the Friendship Farms Stamp & Die Bundle onto Oatmeal Cookie Card stock. I also die cut the leaves for the pumpkin from that set. Using my trimmer, I cut the Whip Cream panel at an angle. I lined up the cut edge, in order to get a straight line, and cut the center out.
I colored in the pumpkin, using the same PanPastels as I used in the first card. Then I adhered the card together, and added a few Nuvo drops around the pumpkin.
Don't forget that you have just a couple of days to get the discount at Concord & 9th, using the special coupon code for this hop! You can click the image below to be taken to the shop.
From here, the next stop on the hop is the amazing Lydia Fiedler!
If you are a bit turned around, here's a handy list to get you back on track.
