Some Bunny

Hello!

Today's card features the Some Bunny stamp set from Avery Elle.  When I saw this stamp set, I knew it was one I could use a lot.  It's a cute set for Valentine's Day, a birthday, or Easter.

This adorable card features the Avery Elle stamp set "Some Bunny" along with My Favorite Things Cloud Stencil, and Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frame. The image was colored with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils.

To begin this card, I stamped the bunny and balloon images twice, using Gina K Amalgam Ink.  Once, onto Neenah White Card Stock for the background, and once onto Sweet Sentiment coloring paper, for the actual colored images.  This allows me to fussy cut the image, without having to cut out the balloon string, and allows the background to come right up to the image.

On background piece, I used the My Favorite Things Cloud Stencil, and a Life Changing Blending Brush, to blend Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink onto the background.  Once finished with that, I placed the tiny heart stamps onto a small clear block, and stamped them randomly around my images.  I colored in the tiny hearts with my R24 Copic Marker, and then topped them off with a little shimmer from the Tonic Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen in Midas Touch.

I set the background aside to dry and moved onto coloring the bunny and balloon images.  I used Copic Markers to color them in, and then used a few Prismacolor Pencils to add a bit more depth and shading.

Copic Colors Used:
R00, R20, R32, R24
E34, E50, E53, C1, C2, 0

Prismacolor Pencils Used:
PC1056, PC1065, PC947, PC938, PC1081

Once the images were colored, I stamped my sentiment onto the balloon using Versamark Ink, and heat embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder.  Then, I fussy cut the balloon and bunny, and adhered them to the background with a bit of liquid glue.

I die cut the largest Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frame from additional white card stock, and adhered that onto the card front.  Then, I carefully trimmed around the edge to remove any of the background that was showing from underneath.  I mounted this card front onto a top folding white card base, using foam squares.

I think this card turned out super cute, and sweet.  And it's perfect for any occasion really.

I'm on my way to pack my bags today, to head to Creativation.  This is my first time going, and I'm super excited to meet some of my online crafty friends, and to stare in awe at some of my crafting idols (I doubt I'd have the guts to walk up and introduce myself - hello anxiety!).  If you've been, or even if you just dream of going, what's the first thing or person you would want to see?

Thanks for stopping by!
