Inspired Heart | Simple Coloring with Colored Pencils

Hello!

I had the opportunity to be introduced to Taniesa, the owner of Trinity Stamps, at Creativiation this year.  Though we didn't get to visit for too long in the chaos of the show, my impression of her was that she was such a sweet person.  I had heard about the embellishments in her shop, but hadn't seen too much featuring her stamps, so I was thrilled to have an opportunity to try out one of her stamp sets.  Today's card features the A Crafter's Heart Stamp Set. This set has a fun focal image, of crafty items in the shape of a heart, as well as several sentiments that are perfect to create a card for your crafty friends.

I stamped the heart cluster of crafty images, off center, onto River Stone card stock, using Versamark ink, and heat embossed the image with Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder.  I colored in the images very simply, using Prismacolor colored pencils.  It was easiest to get into all of the smaller areas, by keeping the pencil sharp.  I added shading on only a few of the white items, and everything else was colored in with a single pencil per color.

Once finished with the image, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto a strip of Black Licorice card stock - again using Versamark and Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder.  I added this strip over the top of the image panel with foam squares, and then trimmed the edges.  I adhered the card front to a top folding A2 card base, created from white card stock.  To finish the card, I added a few sequins.
