Hello!
It's time for another Feature Friday for Concord & 9th. If you are joining along in the blog hop, Welcome!
This week we are focusing on the Lovely Letters Bundle, featuring an uppercase and lowercase script stamp set, and the Little Letters Stamp Set. When I was young, both my mom and my grandma loved to pass the time with word search books. The first thought that struck me when I saw the Little Letters Stamp Set was that it looked like a word search - so I created one!
The letters on the search panel were stamped with Dove Ink onto White Card Stock. I lined up the Little Letters Stamps in half inch increments, using the grid on my MISTI to keep the letters distanced properly. It took about three groups of stamping to fill in the whole 3.5" x 4.5" rectangle of letters, thanks to the multiples of letters included in the stamp set. I stamped 5 panels total (one for each sentiment included in the grid), so even though it took time to set up, it actually went fairly quickly for the number of cards created. If you would like to replicate this yourself, I've included the photo below of the "key" to the search - showing where each of the 5 sentiments are at.
After the grids were stamped, I chose to create backgrounds with the Lovely Lattice Turnabout. For the first four cards, I used Honeysuckle, Sprout, Oceanside, and Midnight Inks. I used the Turnabout Jig to make sure my panels were in the proper spot to line up the stamping in the MISTI.
For the card that would become a Christmas card, I stamped the background in Poppy, Cranberry, Parsley, and Evergreen Inks.
I matted each grid with a piece of cardstock that coordinated with one of the inks used on the background, and used a similarly colored pencil to circle that card's sentiment. Then, using a clear block and the Lovely Letters Bundle, I stamped a name for the recipient of the card - in the coordinating ink - onto white cardstock. I also added a few stamped hearts, from the Lovely Letters Uppercase Stamp Set to the grid panel.
Thanks for stopping by! If you are hopping along, the next stop is Sue!

My granddaughters both love word search.. this would be so fun to send because I don't get to see them very often right now... we are becoming more like pen pals, which is kind of fun too! Love all three sets. Happy Holidays!
