Hello!
I'm so excited to share that I was asked back as a guest designer this month with Concord & 9th. To make that even more exciting, their release this month includes their second collaboration with my amazing friend Becky Roberts. Today's Feature Friday is actually all about those collaboration bundles, so it's a fun starting point. If you are joining along from our hop today, welcome!
Like the Everyday Purse before, this first bundle I will show today, is a purse die set, and coordinating stamp set. The Weekender Handbag Bundle creates a slightly larger purse, that allows for more gifts to be included.
For my purse, I cut the pieces of the bag from Midnight, Wheat, and White card stock. The stripes were created by cutting additional pieces from the handle dies, adhering them to the front of the purse, and then trimming the excess off. The hardware pieces were cut from the copper card stock in the Neutrals Foil Pack, and the button was simply the negative portion of one of the rings.
I stamped one of the strip sentiments onto Midnight Card Stock, and heat embossed it with Copper Embossing Powder. Then I wrapped it around one of the rings. I also used Midnight Ink, to stamp the "HB" onto a White diecut heart, which I then snipped to adhere in place on the ring. The purse stays closed thanks to the self-adhesive Mini Velcro Dots.
Included in the photos of the purse I created, are a pair of perfectly sized sunglasses created using the Bright Eyes Dies. The sunglasses were cut from Poppy, and Black card stocks. The Bright Eyes Bundle is great coordinated with the Weekender Handbag Bundle, or can be used separately, as I show in the card below.
For this card, I wanted to create a bright and fun strip on a neutral background. I created the background from Dove, Mushroom, and Black card stocks, cut into 1/4" strips. I also used the Mushroom, and Black card stocks to create a set of glasses from the Bright Eyes Dies. I covered the frame of the glasses in some glittery ink using a Nuvo Shimmer Pen, and then covered the lenses of the glasses with Glossy Accents. That was set aside to dry while I created the bright panel of my card.
For the card stock used in the brighter panel, I wanted to stick to summery colors. I chose Marmalade, Buttercup, Parsley, Aqua Sky, and Oceanside card stocks. Again, I cut these to 1/4" strips, and adhered them on a background, but I turned the direction the opposite way. Once completed, I stamped the sentiment from the Bright Eyes Stamp Set, in Mushroom Ink, directly over the strip panel. I then attached the dried sunglasses to that panel using foam tape, and attached the completed panel to the background with more foam tape. The card front was adhered to a white card base.
I had a blast using these bundles, and I can't wait to show you next week's project! If you want to see an additional purse I created, head on over to my Instagram to see one in Sorbet, and Grapefruit.
If you are hopping along with us, the next stop is Sue.

I like that the Weekender is a little larger for bigger items. I love my Everyday Purse and use it a lot. Great stripes and the glasses card is too cute. Happy Holidays.
