Intricate Coloring on a Clean and Simple Card

Hello!

When I saw this stamp, I knew I wanted to color that hair!  You can take a long time to color, as I did, or you can do it much simpler and quicker, but I love the finished image here.  If you'd like to see a few photos from the coloring process - keep an eye on my Instagram today, as they will be posted there later this morning.  When the coloring is as intricate as this is, I try to keep the rest of the cards fairly simple so as not to compete with the image.

Process: The image was stamped in Barely There Amalgam Ink, and then colored in with Polychromos Pencils.  There are numerous layers of pencil to build depth to the image.  Once the coloring was done, the image was die cut, and added to a die cut panel.  The sentiment was cut multiple times from graphite card stock, and once from gold mirror card stock, then adhered together before being added to the card front.  The card front was attached to a white card base, then sequins added for a little sparkle.
